Homenageando o mês do rock, comemorado no dia 13 de julho, vai a lista do Top 100 das melhores álbuns de rock da história. O site Portal Música resolveu fazer o ranking consultando a opinião de executivos e especialistas em música, com base em diversos critérios. Cada critério recebe uma nota do especialista e no final, somam e tiram as médias para determinar os posicionamentos dos álbuns no ranking.
Performance: Como a banda/artista tocou na gravação? Habilidade técnica, feeling e mais…
Música e composição: As músicas são realmente boas? São originais, covers, reinterpretações melhores do que a original?
Som: Como soa a qualidade do áudio? Por acaso o álbum foi lançado em uma versão com maior resolução de qualidade, o que conta alguns pontos extras? A gravação usa algum recurso ou tecnologia nova para a época?
Produção: Um bom som não combina sempre com uma grande produção. A qualidade da produção, instrumentação e o desenvolvimento dos “sons importantes” são fatores que encaixam nesta categoria.
Prevalência: Para ser um grande álbum, ele deve sobreviver o tempo e ser relevante assim como quando foi lançado.
Conceito/Continuidade: Este é o fator X – os álbuns que são bons do início ao fim recebem boas notas nessa categoria.
